Our 2019 Cream Tea Caper is on Saturday 14th September, it is bigger then before and in a fantastic new location which has a history associated with the Cream Tea.
Powderham Castle is our stunning new venue and is also the home of the Earl of Devon, in 997AD the then Earl of Devon oversaw monks who fed the local people bread, clotted cream and strawberry preserve, thus the origins of the Cream Tea were born. What better location for the Jolly Running Cream Tea Caper.
The Cream Tea Caper in 2019 is an 8 hour timed trail event, our Race HQ and start/finish line is nestled next to the picturesque lakeside at Powderham Castle, your route starts by taking you through the usually off-limits Deer Park, where you may find yourself running alongside the Deer, the route also visits the Belvedere Tower with its many miles of stunning views over the River Exe, it then passes through Woodlands and into the American Garden.
